2019 is well upon us, yet this is my first post since the calendar rolled over. My normal modus operandi is to set goals well in advance along with a detailed schedule. I also often choose a word or phrase for the year – purpose, just write, expectation, and accountability being some of the most recent ones.
For some reason, none of that has happened yet this year and to be frank, I’m not sure it will. Sure, I have plans. I have a running list of projects that I’m working on, and I anticipate writing, revising, and publishing more than one title.
I’m not sure why this year is so different than previous ones in this regard. Rather than stress about it, I’ve decided to go with the flow. I don’t see a point in forcing plans to take shape just for the sake of planning. Instead, allowing the natural ebb and flow to take place seems like a better way to approach my list of projects.
Now that I think about it, FLUIDITY, seems like a good way to express that. I guess I do have a word for 2019 after all!
