Live Long and Prosper!

Yes, I am that nerd. As a long time Start Trek fan, I couldn’t believe my good fortune when I was able to visit the town of Vulcan, Alberta and take in some of the fun and ‘fascinating’ Star Trek memorabilia.

I decided on the spur of the moment to join a couple of my siblings on a ‘cousin trip’ . My sister and brother had been up to visit me from Saskatchewan and on the way home they were meeting up with a cousin from Ontario who was flying to Calgary where they would all meet and then travel around Alberta and Saskatchewan visiting some of our cousins whom we haven’t seen in quite some time. I had not planned on joining them but at the last minute I jumped in the vehicle. It just so happened that we couldn’t get a hotel room in Okotoks, where we planned to meet up with our cousin, so we had to drive to nearby Vulcan. I knew that Vulcan had embraced Star Trek as part of its tourism, but had no idea it was so cool!
